Prior to working at Windsor Allied Health, she had years of experience working with families providing intensive family support, homelessness services, resettlement of refugees and humanitarian entrants, disability support service management and community development.
This background attests to her love of human diversity and complexity. At Windsor Allied Health, Ixa works across the lifespan, using a variety of evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and EMDR. Ixa works with families and schools to provide cognitive and academic assessments, including diagnosis of learning disorders and ADHD.
Currently, Windsor Allied Health partners with the George Town Neighbourhood House, where Ixa provides a fortnightly outreach service.
She holds a degree in Commerce, a Graduate Certificate in Human Services, a Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology)(Hons), and she is a Provisional member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc.
Outside of work, you will find Ixa hiking or working hard at the gym to prepare for her next run!
