Renae is a Senior Paediatric Dietitian and holds a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Newcastle and a Certificate in Paediatric Nutrition and Dietetics from the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne. She brings over 20 years of clinical experience, including more than seven years specialising in paediatrics at the Launceston General Hospital.
Renae has extensive expertise in managing a wide range of complex paediatric nutrition concerns, including faltering growth, neonatal feeding, and failure to thrive. She is highly skilled in supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, particularly in the management of sensory-based feeding aversions and textural difficulties. Her areas of specialisation also include enteral feeding (NGT/NJT/PEG), and the assessment and treatment of paediatric eating disorders and ARFID, using evidence-based, family-centred approaches.
Renae works in close collaboration with GPs and other healthcare providers to deliver individualised nutrition care plans, including comprehensive dietary assessments, tailored meal planning, and supplementary feeding strategies. Her practice is guided by clear communication, timely reporting, and practical family education, all designed to support optimal health and growth outcomes for children.
Outside of work, I’m a proud mum of five who loves chocolate and wood-fired pizza. I play hockey to support my physical and mental wellbeing and enjoy the strong sense of community it brings. I also regularly lead worship at my local church, C3 Launceston.
